Interested in Cosmetic Acupuncture?

I offer these treatments because many people may feel a distaste for cosmetic procedures but still want to pursue ways to age as gracefully as possible. The treatments I offer do not have a lot of down time or side effects and, in fact, when paired with an acupuncture treatment can contribute to our overall health and vitality.

Seeking this type of treatment from an acupuncturist allows you to receive a procedure that scales back the visible signs of aging on the skin while also addressing the underlying systemic imbalances that contribute to aging. In addition acupuncture can help us to relax chronic muscle tightness and chronic lifestyle habits that show up as creases and wrinkles without losing our ability to fully express. You can still look like yourself, just a little bit better.

I want to be a resource for this approach.

I offer three types of cosmetic treatments for established patients in relatively good health. If you are not an established patient (seen me within the last year) or you’ve had big health changes since we last saw each other, schedule a regular visit here to start.
If life stressors or health challenges have complicated your relationship with your appearance, it’s best to deal with those first. Once you are feeling healthier your appearance will also improve. Book a feel better session.
Embark on a 10-session facial acupuncture protocol over 5-10 weeks. Each session includes a pulse-balancing "body" treatment and facial needles. Cosmetic acupuncture is great for lines and creases caused by muscle tension and very helpful for sagging. In addition the body treatment helps to address the systemic imbalances that can contribute to early-aging. While you might see results after just 1-3 sessions you will see longer-lasting and better results with a series of treatments. First treatment is $175 with discounts given for package purchases. Start by booking a cosmetic session.

gua sha facials

Don't like the thought of a lot of needles in your face? Want a session with immediate results and no down time? This twenty minute session delivers! Also great in between microneedling sessions or as a refresh after the cosmetic acupuncture protocol. This session can be booked with or without a "body" acupuncture treatment. Microneedling & nanoneedling

Microneedling is performed with a battery operated pen that creates channels in the skin to allow for greater absorption of products and to create a "microtrauma". The body will respond to heal the trauma by boosting collagen and elastin. Greater effects do come with a greater cost and you should expect 12-24 hours of "downtime" in the way of skin redness. This treatment is great for cosmetic concerns like wrinkles and lines, discolorations and skin texture as well as acne, acne scarring and hair loss. Full results (that can last for years) are seen in 4-6 treatments scheduled one month apart. This treatment includes an auricular (ear) acupuncture treatment and the application of some gorgeous topical facial products. Per session fee is $425 - (Through December 28, 2023 first session fee is $325) with discounts given for package purchases.
Nanoneedling is done with the same pen but a less deep needle in order to create a surface channel - this does help product absorption but not as deep. This technique can be used in between microneedling sessions or as a replacement for those with sensitive skin or certain health conditions. $275/session.
Micro- & Nanoneedling are not appropriate for everyone. Those with certain medications or health conditions should delay or avoid treatment. To learn more click here.

Combine treatments & techniques

It is possible - and a great idea! - to combine treatments for absolute best results. Combining packages of microneedling with cosmetic acupuncture and gua sha facials helps address our systemic imbalances, improves skin texture and tone and releases the chronic muscle tension (and chronic systemic stress) that can contribute to wrinkles. If you are interested in buying packages from a combination of techniques contact me for discount info.
